About Us
The Wolfson Applied Materials Research Centre was founded by Tel-Aviv University in 1994 as a joint facility of the Faculties of Engineering and Exact Sciences.
The Centre's main goal is to make its analytical capabilities available to all the research groups in Tel-Aviv university, in all other universities, and to Israeli industry, both by providing professional services and by undertaking joint projects.
The Centre's features include state-of-the-art analytical tools, comprehensive characterization systems under one roof, highly professional staff members backed by eminent professors in diverse areas of materials science, and a central, accessible location.
Research at the Centre is carried out in five general areas: electronic and Opto-electronic materials, energy, materials, structural materials, biological materials, and environmental materials. Today, the Centre is used by more than 50 research groups on campus, and a similar number of external users.
